✅ Remediation
For details on how to apply this update, which includes the changes described in this advisory, refer to: https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 Workaround: To mitigate this issue, users should avoid opening or displaying untrusted PBM, PPM, or PGM image files within GNU Emacs. Exercise caution when handling image files from unknown or unverified sources. Workaround: Users of Emacs TRAMP should avoid processing untrusted filenames or interacting with remote systems that may contain maliciously crafted file names. This operational control reduces the risk of local shell command injection.
