✅ Remediation

For details on how to apply this update, which includes the changes described in this advisory, refer to: https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 Workaround: Applications using `cjose` should be configured to reject JWEs that specify the AES Key Wrap key-management algorithms (`A128KW`, `A192KW`, `A256KW`) when processing untrusted input. This application-layer rejection prevents the vulnerable decryption path from being exercised. Workaround: Inspect incoming HTTP requests using a Web Application Firewall (WAF), reverse proxy, or Apache’s mod_rewrite module prior to evaluation by mod_auth_openidc. Configure security rules to reject or drop any requests containing malformed Cookie headers—specifically OpenID Connect state cookie tokens that lack an equals sign (=).
