✅ Remediation

For details on how to apply this update, which includes the changes described in this advisory, refer to: https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 The system must be rebooted for this update to take effect. Workaround: In order to mitigate this issue it is possible to prevent the affected code from being loaded by blacklisting the kernel "USB Video Class module" (uvcvideo) module . For instructions relating to how to blacklist a kernel module refer to: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/41278uvcvideoz Workaround: Red Hat has investigated whether a possible mitigation exists for this issue, and has not been able to identify a practical example. Please update the affected package as soon as possible. Additionally, to protect against this and other similar vulnerabilities, ensure appropriate access controls are in place to prevent unauthorized use of RPC-based services. If SunRPC not being used, then to mitigate this issue to prevent the sunrpc module from being loaded. Please see https://access.redhat.com/solutions/41278 for information on how to blacklist a kernel module to prevent it from loading automatically.
