For details on how to apply this update, which includes the changes described in this advisory, refer to: https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 After installing this update, the smb service will be restarted automatically. Workaround: Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options don't meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability. Workaround: The vulnerability is most commonly associated with the "acl_xattr" module and can be mitigated by setting: ~~~ "acl_xattr:ignore system acls = no" ~~~ Workaround: To mitigate this vulnerability, disable rpcecho service on the AD DC by setting: ~~~ dcerpc endpoint servers = -rpcecho ~~~
