CVE-2026-73231

HIGHPre-NVD 7.87.8
EchelonGraph scoreMEDIUM confidence

This high-severity CVE scores 7.8 under a secondary CVSS source (NVD's own analysis pending). EPSS exploit probability: 0.2%, top 95% of all CVEs by exploit prediction. GitHub Security Advisory data not yet ingested — confidence will rise once GHSA publishes (typical lag: hours to days for open-source ecosystem CVEs; never for infrastructure-only CVEs).

No vendor fix yet — apply a workaround or compensating control (WAF / firewall / segmentation) and watch for a patch.

Faker generates massive amounts of fake data in the browser and Node.js. Prior to 10.5.0, the faker.helpers.fake method in src/modules/helpers/eval.ts allows attacker-controlled fake templates to access the Function constructor through fakeEval.resolveProperty when a function returns another function, enabling arbitrary JavaScript code execution. This issue is fixed in version 10.5.0.
