OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.19 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the Feishu media download flow where untrusted media keys are interpolated directly into temporary file paths in extensions/feishu/src/media.ts. An attacker who can control Feishu media key values returned to the client can use traversal segments to escape os.tmpdir() and write arbitrary files within the OpenClaw process permissions.
CVE-2026-22171
This high-severity CVE scores 8.2 under the CNA's CVSS (NVD's own analysis pending). EPSS exploit-prediction score not yet available (the EPSS model rescores nightly; freshly-published CVEs typically appear within 48 hours). GitHub Security Advisory data not yet ingested — confidence will rise once GHSA publishes (typical lag: hours to days for open-source ecosystem CVEs; never for infrastructure-only CVEs).
- High severity, but no confirmed exploitation yet
No vendor fix yet — apply a workaround or compensating control (WAF / firewall / segmentation) and watch for a patch.
