A flaw was found in odh-dashboard, the web console component of Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI). Due to incorrect network binding, a malicious actor within the cluster can bypass authentication and impersonate any user by providing an arbitrary access token. This allows an attacker to gain unauthorized access to the Kubernetes API, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution, privilege escalation, or information disclosure.
CVE-2026-16745
This high-severity CVE scores 8.8 under the CNA's CVSS (NVD's own analysis pending). EPSS exploit-prediction score not yet available (the EPSS model rescores nightly; freshly-published CVEs typically appear within 48 hours). GitHub Security Advisory data not yet ingested — confidence will rise once GHSA publishes (typical lag: hours to days for open-source ecosystem CVEs; never for infrastructure-only CVEs).
- High severity, but no confirmed exploitation yet
No vendor fix yet — apply a workaround or compensating control (WAF / firewall / segmentation) and watch for a patch.
