An issue was discovered in CloudMe before 1.11.0. An unauthenticated remote attacker that can connect to the "CloudMe Sync" client application listening on port 8888 can send a malicious payload causing a buffer overflow condition. This will result in an attacker controlling the program's execution flow and allowing arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2018-6892
Score elevated to 9.8 because EPSS predicts 90% probability of exploitation within the next 30 days (top 0.4% of all CVEs). NVD baseline CVSS 9.8 retained for reference. Confidence: see factors.
- High exploitation likelihood — EPSS 94%
No vendor fix yet — apply a workaround or compensating control (WAF / firewall / segmentation) and watch for a patch.
